Winter

Cosiness and winter excitement

Contemplation and peace on the one hand, skiing fun and cosy get-togethers with friends on the other hand: That's winter in South Tyrol! Whether a walk through the snowy winter landscape, Advent feelings with punch and mulled wine at Christmas markets or skiing, snowboarding or snowshoe hiking - winter in and around Merano has a lot to offer, looking different every day.

Merano 2000
The skiing area on the Tschögglberg underneath the Ifinger awaits with about 40 kilometres of piste and various options for stopping off. A winter's day with friends or family will become a real experience. Whether on skis, snowboard, during cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking or a stroll through the snowy landscape - Merano 2000 promises winter fun for everyone
Schwemmalm, Ulten
Kuppelwies in the Ulten valley hosts a skiing area that is particularly close to nature. The many snow-safe, well-maintained pistes and numerous options for stopping off are a guarantee for a promising day's skiing under blue skies. Not only the little ones will learn many tips and tricks in the ski and snowboard school with its own ski kindergarten. Two ski rental outlets ensure the right equipment.
Christmas markets
They're almost tradition in South Tyrol - the Christmas markets in the region's towns and villages. The market in Merano is particularly worth a visit: From the end of November until the beginning of January, the wooden stalls along the spa promenade turn the town into an enchanting picture. In nearby Lana, the Sterntaler Christmas market also invigorates the pedestrian precinct with Advent scents, tasty delicacies and warming drinks. Contemplation and joy go hand in hand.
